To promote continuous professional development, WLEH offers interactive Coffee Hours and webinars that foster connection and collaboration among women leaders in eye health. To achieve this, WLEH:

• schedules regular in-person Coffee Hours and virtual webinars, featuring diverse speakers to ensure representation and relevance for all participants;

• curates topics for Coffee Hours that address common barriers to women’s leadership, such as gender bias, work-life balance, and access to mentorship opportunities, providing insights for overcoming these challenges;

• creates event calendars to highlight upcoming sessions, fostering engagement and knowledge-sharing within the ophthalmic community;

• and organizes community engagement activities to strengthen connections and lay the groundwork for future mentorship initiatives.
